HOURS: FIRST SHIFT, MONDAY-FRIDAY, 7:00AM - 3:00PM


SUMMARY:


This position is responsible for operating various pieces of equipment in the movement of materials for loading of trucks for equipment and parts sales to customers in conjunction with customer quality requirements and United Alloy manufacturing philosophies.


WHAT YOU’LL DO: 



  • Loads outbound shipments for customer delivery.

  • Inspect outbound shipments for damage, verify quantities, and address any discrepancies

  • The individual must possess a keen sense of attention to detail

  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and reference United Alloy’s Master Document system for formal instructions

  • Must possess the ability to operate a forklift, overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, and hand tools

  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist

  • Must be able to read and write job numbers

  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Work in collaboration with receiving and material handling

  • Adheres to maintaining finished goods inventory control and accuracy

  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations

  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements

  • Lead training of shipping coordinator role.

  • Other duties as assigned


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:



  • Minium 4 years’ experience in a shipping Department

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Understands how to manager daily work expectations and goals

  • Understands cross check concepts and inspects product according to Inspection Control Plan

  • Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices

  • Ability to sustain 95% efficiency

  • Can maintain a high level of quality – must not have scrap in excess of $500 per calendar year

  • Can inspect and clean equipment

  • Must have forklift and material handling experience

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record

  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Must possess strong attention to detail and be detail oriented
