Sr. Software Tester

Job Description

Cepeda Systems and Software Analysis, a rapidly growing small business in Huntsville, AL, is currently seeking a Senior Software Tester supporting NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and the Human Landing System (HLS).

Key Responsibilities

Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements.

• Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios


• Identifies and documents defects in software and/or IT systems.


• Works closely with development team to resolve defects.


• Performs and leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.


• Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria with an appropriate verification environment.

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science field

Experience Required

Minimum of 8 years related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Experience Preferred

Familiarity with NASA programs

Experience working in Agile Environments
