The qualified candidate will serve as the Chief Payload Integration Engineer for a large product line within the Space Superiority and Warfighting Division. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.\n\nThis position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.\n\nIn this job, you will:\n\n * Assist senior program leadership on shaping customer acquisition payload manifest strategy\n\n * Coordinating internal responses to cross program issues and providing high level briefings on major decision points to Chief Engineer and program director\n\n * Ensuring that applicable engineering processes and practices are followed\n\n * Planning and managing technical reviews\n\n * Providing technical oversight to major FRB/MRB/Anomalies\n\n * Working with each of the Payload LSEs to:\n\n * Ensure that the technical baseline managed\n\n * Ensure that givers / receivers, GFx and other roadblocks are quickly identified and countered\n\n * Leading / supporting on-ramp of new payload through studies or ECPs\n\n * Evolving and streamlining payload integration systems engineering processes\n\n\n\n\nCandidates will also demonstrate an attitude and approach founded in the following key characteristics:\n\n * Data Driven: Able to coordinate and organize large amounts of data from a diverse team into key take-aways\n\n * Schedule Driven: Quickly driving issues to closure or decision point\n\n * Demonstrated track record of being a solutions oriented high energy problem solver\n\n * Able to focus on medium and long term objectives\n\n * Mentoring, training, and directing junior staff\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application\n\n * BS Degree in Engineering or related technical field and at least 14 years of professional experience or MS Degree and 12 years of professional experience or PhD with 10 years professional experience\n\n * Experience with space mission development / architecture as well as spacecraft design, development integration, test and launch\n\n * Experience working medium size or larger Government programs\n\n * Experience leading a team of engineers\n\n * Experience leading failure review boards and anomaly investigations\n\n * Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal and written) with experience briefing executive and customer leadership\n\n * Proposal Experience\n\n * Worked in the Space Security Domain\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * \u003e10yrs of direct experience with Space systems\n\n * Current Program access\n\n * Knowledge of aerospace environmental testing standards\n\n * Established network of contacts in other NG divisions/sectors/programs\n\n * Experience with mission sustainment, evolution, and mission assurance processes\n\n * CAM / engineering project management experience\n\n\n\n\n#NOVASPACE\n\n#AZSpace\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $166,500.00 - $289,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
