Responsibilities:- Maintaining relationships with key suppliers
- Developing supplier performance metrics, tracking KPIs, and driving improvements
- Resolving supplier non-conformances in the production process by identifying the root cause and implementing solutions
- Assist with external audits.
- Travel on-site to suppliers.
- Assisting with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methods
- Leveraging data findings to implement improvements in the process.
- Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers pertaining to quality standards
- Reviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnel
- Generating standards for suppliers and internal processes
Requirements:
- 3+ years of supplier quality engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field
- Understanding of AIAG core tools such as PPAPs and APQP
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, extrusion, and assembly
- Strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
- Exposure to ISO 9001 quality standards
- Comfortable with travel between 20-40%
