Sr. Technical Artist needed for full time onsite role with Ranstad Digitals client in Mt. View, California.

About the opportunity:

Our client seeks a seasoned professional for the role of Senior Technical Artist, focusing on enhancing the precision and efficiency of our autonomous vehicle simulation tools. In this position, you will play a crucial role in the technical development within Unreal Engine and its associated pipelines. Joining a team comprised of skilled engineers and technical artists with diverse backgrounds in games, Visual FX, autonomous systems, and robotics.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years' experience crafting environments utilized in shipped products.

Proficiency as an expert user of at least one 3D DCC tool (e.g., Maya/Houdini).

strong familiarity with Unreal Engine or equivalent platforms.

Solid understanding of Python programming and its application in game pipelines.

Proficient in shaders, materials, real-time game engine logic, and performance optimization techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous involvement in creating virtual environments for autonomous vehicle simulation.

Experience in developing procedural animation systems.

Expertise in photogrammetry and similar techniques for environment recreation.

Familiarity with other real-time engines (e.g., Frostbite, Unity).

Knowledge of C++, HLSL/GLSL is advantageous.
