Sr Technician - Quality

As a Senior Quality Technician: Document Control and Quality Systems at Itron, you will be responsible for the overall management of the quality document control system for the Oconee site.  You will ensure the system is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards, acting as the central hub for document workflows and version control across internal departments and external stakeholders.  This role will also support and participate in various quality and system improvement activities.    

Duties & Responsibilities:

• QMS Document Control process owner for the site; manage the overall process workflow and train users.  
• Create and/or update QMS documentation such as standard operation procedures, work instructions, flowcharts. 
• Participate in and support global quality systems or document control initiatives
• Provide technical and system support to the site process owners for QMS document updates, new releases and approvals.
• Perform New Hire Orientation Training, as required.
• Support ISO/UL and other quality and/or regulatory systems for the site
• Support or execute quality systems training
• Support internal and external ISO or UL audits
• Support 8D problem solving teams as an active team member
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Required Skills & Experience:

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years’ experience as a Quality Technician (or similar role) in a manufacturing environment or related experience.
• Familiarity with measurement devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience working in an ISO 9001 or similarly regulated manufacturing environment
• Detail oriented and task driven approach to work
• Previous experience managing a QMS document control system is a plus
• PD Cloud system experience is a plus
