Job Title: Sr. Test Automation Engineer
Work Location: Remote (CST and EST time zones preferred)
Duration: 6 month contract with option to extend
Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.


Job Description:
Seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to extend our agile development team, providing technology solutions to our Private Equity fund-of-funds, secondary, and co-investment business verticals. This position is a remote work assignment which may require an occasional physical office presence.

As a Senior Quality Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Working closely with the development team, you will be responsible for collaborating to integrate our test automation tools with test-target applications, designing and executing test cases, identifying bugs and issues, and providing valuable feedback to improve product functionality. This role requires a strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities :
  • Integrate Automated Testing suite with each target business application to be tested.
  • Test Planning and Design:
    • Collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and design test plans accordingly.
    • Develop detailed test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
    • Participate in test strategy discussions and contribute ideas for improving testing processes.
    • Learn and participate in the development of automated test cases and test libraries using AzureDevOps Test Plans, Subject7 test automation, and other automation tools and approaches.
  • Test Execution:
    • Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools.
    • Record test results and document any defects found during testing.
    • Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved.
  • Defect Management:
    • Report defects in a clear and concise manner, including steps to reproduce and expected behavior.
    • Work closely with developers to investigate reported issues and verify fixes.
    • Monitor defect resolution progress and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure that software products meet quality standards and user requirements.
    • Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that may not be covered by existing test cases.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.
    • Create and update testing-related documentation as necessary.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to clarify requirements and discuss testing strategies.
    • Participate in team meetings and provide input on project status and priorities.
Skills & Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Understanding of Networking, Windows Active Directory, Web Services, REST APIs, SQL Databases and various integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
