Sr Test Technnician

Purpose

To provide technical production leadership in ensuring that RF-based electronics products meet performance specifications; test products to meet schedules; debug and repair of field returned products to the component level. 

Job Functions

• Calibrates, tests and configures electronic products according to production procedures and sales orders


• Ensures production schedule commitments are met, including both new orders and repair and calibration services


• Performs test operations from written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision


• Performs hardware debug of failed assemblies; troubleshoot to board level


• Performs hardware debug of failed circuit boards; troubleshoot to component level


• Set up and operates a variety of automatic and semi-automatic test and / or repair equipment


• Responsible for test station calibration and resolution of issues, including hardware and software


• Ensure test yield and repair data is captured


• Provides feedback to management on any potential quality issue

Educational/Training Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology, or similar, or equivalent work experience


• Ten years related work experience


• Advanced understanding and troubleshooting digital, analog and RF electronics


• Intermediate experience with conducting tests on electronic equipment and on software applications


• Intermediate experience in the use of test equipment such as power supplies, multi-meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes


• Ability to read schematics, data sheets, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials and rework documents


• Experience working within a production environment


• Experience managing technicians a plus


• Strong organizational, problem-solving and multitasking skills


• Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System a plus


• Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite

• Frequently works in an area with drafts, noise, temperature variations etc.


• Able to lift/carry up to 30lb
