Sr. Visual Designer - Presentation Specialist - Remote

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Visual Designer!\n\n \n\nAbout the Role\n\nThe Sr. Visual Designer, Presentation Specialist is responsible for elevating how Symetra communicates complex insurance, investment and retirement concepts through strategic, brand-aligned presentations. This role also supports the Senior and Lead Visual Designers by designing, refining and maintaining high-impact presentation materials used across sales, marketing, executive leadership and board communications. Blending strong visual storytelling with brand governance, the Presentation Specialist ensures presentations are clear, accessible and consistent--balancing creativity with professionalism in a highly regulated industry. The role also serves as the owner and steward of Symetra\u0027s enterprise presentation system, including templates, standards and best practices.\n\n \n\n \n\nWhat you will do \n\n * Design, deliver and manage a cohesive, enterprise-wide Presentation Design System that supports divisional marketing teams, leadership and board-level communications. This Presentation Design System should be informed by Symetra\u0027s Brand System and Symetra\u0027s Digital Design System.\n * Develop role as a presentation \"center of excellence\" supporting Symetra sales and marketing communicators. Serve the enterprise by providing training, troubleshooting and best practices when producing presentations.\n * Apply a strategic storytelling approach to presentations, ensuring each slide supports the narrative, audience needs and business objectives.\n * Translate complex financial, insurance and retirement topics into clear, compelling visual narratives using data visualization and infographics.\n * Establish best practices for content balance, visual hierarchy, accessibility and slide structure to support effective presentation delivery.\n * Maintain high standards of design excellence and consistency in alignment with Symetra\u0027s Brand System.\n * Some knowledge how AI-powered presentation tools can improve efficiency, ideation and consistency while maintaining brand and compliance standards.\n * Produce and own the Symetra Story presentation that helps tell our corporate narrative and the highest level. Test and improve based on feedback from users.\n * Support design production for select high level presentations (i.e. National Sales Meeting, CEO presentations, Brand presentations, high visibility sales decks).\n * Review, refine and elevate select high visibility existing presentation decks to meet enterprise storytelling and design standards.\n * Assess, manage and continuously improve corporate presentation templates for usability, functionality and brand alignment.\n * Provide design reviews, guidance and feedback to internal teams creating high visibility presentation materials.\n * Help creators meet ADA accessibility requirements for high visibility external presentation materials.\n * This role encompasses the Visual Design job description.\n * Support divisional marketing materials across both traditional and digital channels.\n * Support digital asset management, file organization and enterprise training resources related to presentation usage.\n\n\n\n \n\nWhy work at Symetra\n\n\"From day one, I felt welcomed and encouraged to bring my full self to work.
