What will you do?

As a Staff Accountant you will be a positive contributor to the Accounting and Finance team by performing many of the essential accounting duties such as customer invoicing, AR collection, AP review, payroll, journal entries, & other related duties. You will report to the Controller and work closely with other team members in meeting monthly and quarterly deadlines.

Essential Job Functions:

• Support Accounting team month-end close process


• Process customer invoices in a timely manner


• Monitor Accounts Receivable, communicate with customers & project managers as necessary


• Assist program managers as needed to track, prepare, and deliver project financial reports to customers by generating and maintaining spreadsheets of hours, costs, budgets, etc.


• Review and approve supplier invoices to ensure accuracy of transactions


• Create and post general ledger journal entries


• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned


• Payroll processing and ownership


• Prepare ad hoc analysis and reports (e.g. productivity reports, project profitability, etc.)


• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Location

This position is based in San Diego with a hybrid schedule.*

What are we looking for?

• BA/BS in finance or accounting


• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience


• Proficiency in MS Office with advanced Excel skills


• Solid communication skills at all levels within the organization


• Ability to identify and report problems and assist in their resolution


• Good interpersonal communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships


• US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Paylocity or similar HRIS software experience


• SAP ByDesign experience


• Engineering and/or Manufacturing industry experience

Compensation and Benefits

Staff Accountant pay range: $28.04 - $45.82/hour*

*This range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
