Staff Accountant

This is a full-time role for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant serves a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.

• Reconcile monthly bank accounts 

• Reconcile Company Employee Benefits

• Prepare and post journal entries related to adjusting entries and accruals

• Identify and resolve ledger variances

• Assist with financial statement review and analysis

• Assist in the annual audit and ad hoc projects

• Assist with filing monthly, quarterly sales tax

• Assist with overflow from Accounts Payables

• Update reports each month using Excel, this is a large portion of the role

• Assist the Company Controller as needed

• Proficiency in Excel skills including formulas, VLookups and Pivot Tables- Must pass Skills Test prior to offer

• Attention to detail and organizational skills is a must

• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and database software

• Power BI experience a plus

• Thorough understanding of GAAP

• Financial Reporting, Accounting, and Bookkeeping skills

• Proficiency in financial analysis and data interpretation

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• 3 – 5 Years experience as a staff accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
