Staff Accountant
Condominium Associates – Clearwater, FL
Condominium Associates is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the financial health of the organization.

Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liabilities. This role involves managing accounts, reconciling transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing support during audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cost accounting and other financial tasks for the organization.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books.
- Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits, and address bank inquiries.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
- Assist with audits by gathering required financial documents and information.
- File tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Maintain and recommend updates to the accounting software system.
- Manage the purchasing and invoicing system.
- Stay updated on accounting principles and practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of general financial and cost accounting principles.
- Ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in preparing tax reports and working with accounting software.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
