Staff Accountant

As part of the Accounting team at Topia, the Staff Accountant supports core financial operations, including AP, AR, cash, and month end reconciliations. You’ll manage vendor invoicing and payments, support collections, ensure compliance, and help improve accounting processes. This position will report directly to the Controller. 

Responsibilities

• Enter AP invoices into NetSuite and route for approval in accordance with internal delegations of authority 


• Assist with weekly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments 


• Manage vendor communications, resolve invoice/payment issues, and set up / maintain vendor records and tax documentation for 1099 compliance


• Reconcile and post credit card transactions 


• AR support - apply customer payments, and monitor collections - sending statements and escalating internally as needed 


• Support Senior Accountant in management of sales tax collection, tracking, and compliance across jurisdictions


• Assist with state/local business registrations and maintain compliance via registered agent service


• Own and reconcile AP, prepaids, and credit card liability on Balance Sheet 


• Assist in month end variance analysis 


• Prepare and post journal entries and support monthly close timelines

About You

• Associate’s / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• 2+ years of relevant experience


• Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms 


• Experience with multi-entity accounting and currency exposure in a global business environment. (Not required, nice to have)

Salary range: $70,000- $80,000 + Bonus Eligible 

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
