Job Description - Staff Accountant

Job Requirements:

Accounting or Business Degree with related accounting experience.

Advanced computer skills on MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), accounting software (NetSuite & QuickBooks), payroll processing systems and databases.

Balance sheet reconciliation experience .

Construction cost accounting knowledge preferred.

Understanding of Accounting and Financial reporting principles and practices

High level of attention to details, organization and accuracy.

Problem solving skills, ability to work under pressure.

Willingness to assume additional responsibilities, as needed.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Self-motivated, goals-driven, and a team player.

Working Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment, which involves normal everyday hazards or discomforts typical of offices. The work is predominantly sedentary and requires minimal or negligible physical exertion, although, there may be some sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, squatting, twisting, and lifting 25 pounds or more. The employee is normally seated; however, the nature of the work allows for periods of standing or walking at will. Employee must be able to work well under pressure and within certain time frames. Employee accommodations for physical or mental disabilities will be considered on a case-by-case basis. In addition, all information handled in the Accounting Department will be dealt with in confidentiality.
