Position Summary The Staff Accountant twill support day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, month‑end close activities, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial data and helping the organization maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain prepaid schedules and associated amortizations
Prepare month end journal entries as well as semimonthly payroll
Prepare weekly AP disbursement invoices
Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
Assist Manger in closing the month- end period: create je’s, review operating reports, updated month end close tracker
Assist Manager with financial reporting request
Preparation of the balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with treasury duties
Research troubled policies as requested by support team
Various projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
1-3 years of accounting experience required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
Strong analytical, organization, and time management skills
Intermediate Excel skills preferred
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate with Executive team and internal/external customers.
High attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data
Ability to work independently to effectively solve problems
Familiarity with Applied Epic (Agency Management System) preferred
Proficiency in MS Office programs
CPA designation a plus, but not required

This role will be hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days remote weekly after the training period (approximately 6 months).
