Staff Accountant

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, with a primary focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and routine bookkeeping activities. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and support for month-end close under the direction of the Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements


• Prepare and execute payments (ACH, check, wire)


• Maintain vendor records and documentation


• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Generate and send customer invoices


• Record incoming payments and apply to open invoices


• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances


• Resolve billing discrepancies with customers

General Accounting Support

• Record daily transactions in NetSuite


• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations


• Reconcile expense and commission reports


• Support month-end close activities


• Maintain organized digital financial files and documentation


• Prepare annual and operating budgets


• Process payroll, to include bonuses and commission


• Assist with tracking event ROI


• Assist with audit requests and reporting as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred


• 1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience


• Experience with AP/AR processing


• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (NetSuite preferred)


• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
