Staff Accountant

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Support inventory accounting, including cycle count reconciliation and valuation
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances
• Assist with standard cost updates and cost roll-ups
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
• Assist with fixed asset tracking and capitalization
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Partner with plant operations to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 1–4  years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)
• Understanding of inventory and cost accounting principles
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems (Infor, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, or similar) preferred
