Job Description - Staff Accountant

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations within a small finance team led by an Accounting Manager. This role focuses on routine accounting transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and preparing supporting information used for financial reporting and operational questions.

What you’ll do

Process vendor invoices and support payment runs
Prepare customer invoices, maintain account aging, and assist with collections
Apply customer payments and process check deposits
Prepare routine journal entries
Support payroll posting and sales tax filings
Maintain organized accounting documentation
Assist with foreign vendor invoices and international payments
Pull accounting data and supporting information to help answer questions
Work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve routine issues
Work across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
Approximately 3+ years of accounting experience
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting tasks
Experience working with ERP accounting systems (such as Epicor, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Status: Full-time, salaried (exempt)
Reports to the Senior Accountant.
