Responsibilities:
Work closely with the controller
Assist in the preparation of financial statements
Maintain the chart of accounts
Assist in the month end close outs
Highlight anomalies in the financials
Assist in project closeout process
Make sure KPIs are being met
Monitor complete accounting cycle including but not limited to AP, AR, Payroll, and Banking
Ensure closeouts are being conducted in a timely manner (monthly, quarterly, and yearly)
Ensure bookkeeping is done accurately and timely
Advise and suggest on process refinement
Submit Credit Applications
Setting up of new customers and jobs in Quickbooks per the company’s guidelines
Ensure correct cost codes are being used for all transactions

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) and ERP systems.
Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
