Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This employee will report to the Controller. The responsibilities are professional in function.

SCOPE OF DUTIES:

• Process customer invoices and track accounts receivable, reconcile revenue-related transactions and resolve discrepancies


• Assist in processing vendor invoices and payments


• Reconciling all deposits


• Reconcile bank statements and complete monthly cash reconciliation for all bank accounts ensuring accuracy of general ledger entries.


• Conduct variance analysis and report findings to management.


• Assist with Grant reporting documentation, and assist with gathering information and supporting documentation for annual audits


• Assist with internal and external audits.


• Support special projects and other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required


• 1–3 years of accounting experience


• Knowledge of non-profit accounting a plus but not required


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


• Knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Microsoft 365. Bill.com and advanced Excel skills preferred.
