Position Overview NorthStar Medical Management is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of multiple healthcare organizations and is ideal for someone who enjoys reconciliation, problem-solving, and working with complex financial data. The successful candidate will be highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy. Experience in accounting is strongly preferred, particularly in month-end close processes and account reconciliations. Primary Responsibilities
Month-end account reconciliation is the primary responsibility of this role.
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliations and assist with financial reporting.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, credit card statements, petty cash, and various balance sheet accounts.
Review accounts payable for accuracy and proper coding.
Prepare bank deposits and assist with cash management activities.
Maintain recurring accounting transactions and support month-end close activities.
Prepare and process 1099s and other required financial reporting.
Review employee reimbursements for accuracy and compliance.
Process patient refunds and intercompany transfers.
Manage vendor accounts, contracts, and account discrepancies.
Assist with accounts receivable activities as assigned.
Provide payroll support and serve as a backup for payroll processing.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
Assist with special accounting projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Accounting experience is strongly preferred.
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks experience is a plus).
Excellent Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
