What does a Staff Accountant do for Bonaventure?

• Completion of account reconciliations


• Perform bank reconciliations


• Preparation and posting of general journal entries


• Perform month-end close


• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts


• Prepare month end and year end financials


• Prepare packages to be sent to CPAs for tax returns


• Prepare/Assist financial analysis for budgets and financials


• Miscellaneous and special projects as needed and assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills with a strong attention to detail


• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment


• Must be able to work independently as well as with a team


• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel


• 10-key and typing skills


• Highly organized and sensitive to confidentiality

Experience & Education:

• Two years of formal college level accounting education or Accounting Degree preferred


• Prior experience in the processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries and general ledger transactions is a plus.
