Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing organization. In this position, The Staff Accountant will work under the direct supervision of the Controller, financial reports, review broker commission, leases, and general ledgers; preparing and analyzing budgets; and performing general bookkeeping including reconciliations for month-end closing.

Requirements: Responsibilities
Maintain/Understand Corporate Accounting Policies
Manage Fixed Assets
Prepare Broker Reports, Monthly Financials, Quarterly Reporting
Prepare I-E Valuations
Prepare Tax Packages for approximately 60 Properties
Review Contracts/Leases
Review Construction Invoices/Code/Post to GL
Review/Process Broker Commissions and Journal Entries
Review/Reconcile GL Accounts/Enter Month End Adjustments, including Workers Comp Adjustments
Review/Reconcile Mortgage Principle/Interest
Review Trial Balances/Rent Rolls for Accuracy
Post/Reconcile Loan Payments Monthly/Quarterly
Cross Train on all the Above Duties with other Accountants
Other General Accounting & Special Projects

Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
2+ years of experience in accounting or finance required or equivalent
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, 10-key (Pivot tables & Yardi Voyager Commercial experience a plus)
Strong organizational and analytical skills with an emphasis on details
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform well under deadlines
Motivated self-starter with the ability to research and resolve issues independently
Work proficiently with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
