Staff Accountant - Grants

Location: Lewistown or Miles City preferred 
Employment Type: Full-Time (40 Hours per week)

Salary (Wage): $24.74-$26.69/hr DOE

Position Summary: The Staff Accountant - Grants plays a crucial role in managing One Health’s grant and contract portfolio. This position involves financial stewardship, budget preparation, and compliance with GAAP and grant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate: Utilize advanced knowledge to manage organizational projects, programs, and grants.  
  


• Collaborate: Communicate across teams to involve appropriate stakeholders in specialty area initiatives. 


• Steward: Oversee financial aspects of grant contracts, including budget preparation, monitoring, billing, and reporting. 


• Ensure: Maintain compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local grant terms, and HRSA regulations. 


• Prepare: Create and analyze financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. 


• Verify: Ensure accuracy and allowability of transactions within grant/contract budgets.  


• Support: Assist with audits, budgets, and compliance benchmarks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Associate’s Degree or in lieu of degree, four (4) years’ of experience field, or a combination of schooling and experience


• Experience: One (1) years of experience in bookkeeping


• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Sage Intacct or other accounting software preferred.  Healthcare and/or non-profit accounting experience is a huge plus
