Join a Dynamic Team as a Staff Accountant!
Are you a skilled and motivated accounting professional looking for a new opportunity in Northern New Jersey? We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to join a dynamic team and play a key role in managing and assessing financial data for our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and assess assigned territory's P&L, accruals, and coding
- Prepare journal entries as necessary
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Play a vital role in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports
- Analyze variances in income statement and balance sheet accounts
- Assist with assessment and implementation of internal controls
- Prepare and submit sales tax returns for assigned territory
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules
- Handle special assignments and responsibilities as requested
- Provide assistance to internal and external audit functions
Requirements:
- Strong general accounting and reconciliations skills
- Experience with Great Plains software and FRX
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced math skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Resourceful with exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work well under pressure
- Nice to have: Experience with Oracle or SAP
