Staff Accountant St. Louis, MO - Urgent Role

As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. Be prepared to dedicate a fair amount of time to producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. During the monthly close, you will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You'll also review schedules for the reporting processes, stay in touch with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and play an active role in compliance.

How you will make an impact

- Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner

- Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process

- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

- Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

- Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules

- Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

- Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision

- Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

- Recent and relevant accounting experience

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

- Skilled with ERP systems

- Self-starter and strong ethical standards

- Great attention to detail

- Competent with spreadsheets and databases

- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

- Reporting Requirements experience preferred

- Earlier work involving ERP Solutions

- Variance analysis experience highly preferred

- General familiarity with Capital Management

- Strong familiarity with finance

- Knowledge of Freight Charges

- Background working with cost analysis

- Prior experience with ST Microcontoller

- Foundational knowledge in Workstation Support

- Practical knowledge of Ensure Compliance
