Staff Accounting Generalist -Real Estate/Development/Hotels & Resorts

Noble House Hotels and Resorts owns, manages, or operates a portfolio of 20+ luxury, independent hotels and resorts around the country and Mexico. We are seeking a Staff Accounting Generalist for our corporate office located in Kirkland, WA.

What You Do:

Primary duties of the Staff Accounting Generalist include:

• prepare accurate and timely monthly accounting for corporate real estate entities and hotel construction and development projects, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• review assets for proper classification and place assets into fixed asset software
• run depreciation and gain/loss reports and post related journal entries
• assist in preparing quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and other financial reports in accordance with US GAAP
• support the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets and cash flow analysis
• assist in gathering documentation for annual external financial statement and tax reporting requirements with external CPA firms
• monitor the collection of hotel fees and related accounts receivable
• collaborate with hotel teams and department managers to ensure accounting is in compliance with US GAAP
• process full cycle accounts payable entry and banking transactions
• learn and understand multiple roles within the finance team to support team development and growth opportunities
• list is not all inclusive, additional projects, responsibilities and duties may be assigned

Requirements

To be successful as the Accounting Staff Generalist position, you:

•  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
•  Real Estate, construction industry or similar multi-entity experience
• Great organization and multi-tasking skills to balance multiple business entity closes and priorities, rather than one large company
• Desire to take ownership of work product and processes and learn new tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively via written and verbal communication
• Self motivation to dig into the details, solve accounting puzzles and implement process improvements – Make things Better
• A positive attitude to collaborate with others across the team and business to provide support as needed – Happy to Help
