The role will own end to end architecture for cross domain and multi level security (Red/Black) solution, guide cloud migration to Microsoft Azure, and lead technical teams through concept, development, integration, and operational sustainment. This position is located in El Segundo, CA or Redondo Beach, CA.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Functional requirements development \u2013 Elicit, write, and prioritize functional requirements.\n\n * System engineering decomposition \u2013 Translate functional requirements into hardware and software architectures; define all interfaces.\n\n * Cameo Systems Modeler support \u2013 Guide development of Activity, Internal Block Diagram (IBD), and Block Definition Diagram (BDD) models.\n\n * Cyber architecture (JSIG/NIST) breakdown \u2013 Convert limited cyber requirements into detailed design artifacts.\n\n * Zero Trust, Role-based access control (RBAC) \u0026 Identity and access management (IAM) design \u2013 Architect Zero Trust networks, role based access controls, and IAM workflow diagrams.\n\n * Content Security Policy / Ground segment / Data center architecture \u2013 Design on prem, hybrid, edge, and CSP integrated solutions.\n\n * Multi Level \u0026 Cross Domain Solutions \u2013 Define processing levels, CD S interfaces, and data-filtering mechanisms.\n\n * Network architecture expertise \u2013 Micro segmentation, resiliency, network/security operations center (NOC/SOC) planning.\n\n * Automation \u0026 IaC \u2013 Implement Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, etc., for repeatable provisioning.\n\n * CI/CD pipeline ownership \u2013 Build, test, and deploy software and infrastructure across the lifecycle.\n\n * Integration test planning \u0026 execution \u2013 Create test plans, validate data flows, verify real time command paths.\n\n * GRA / GFx / Open System software experience \u2013 Leverage open system architectures for mission critical software.\n\n * Container \u0026 VM experience \u2013 Deploy Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, Hyper V, KVM, etc., in hardened environments.\n\n * Secure / hardened / COTS integration \u2013 Incorporate DoD grade, GFx hardened, secure boot components.\n\n * Leadership / team coordination \u2013 Serve as lead engineer, IPT lead, technical manager, and mentor for junior staff.\n\n * Domain expertise \u2013 Defense, aerospace, missile, and mission critical C2 systems.\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and at least 12 years\u2019 experience, or STEM master\u2019s degree with 10 years\u2019 experience, or a STEM PHD with 8 years\u2019 experience.\n\n * Experience: 8+ years of architecting secure, distributed solutions\n\n * Core Technical Expertise: Cross Domain Solutions, Multi Level Security (Red/Black), Microsoft Azure, Cloud \u0026 distributed hardware architecture, Government furnished hardware/software (GFX/GFE), Field deployable systems\n\n * Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated Top Secret clearance \u0026 SCI (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.\n\n * Security Standards: NIST, JSIG, NSA, DoD Cyber-risk frameworks\n\n * Leadership: Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary technical teams and manage large-scale IPTs\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Cloud Platforms: AWS (including GovCloud), Google Cloud Platform (GCP)\n\n * Database Management: Design \u0026 administration of relational \u0026 NoSQL databases\n\n * Virtualization \u0026 VDI: Hypervisor deployments (VMware, Hyper V, KVM) and VDI\n\n * InfoSec Frameworks: NIST 800 53, NIST CSF, NSA security guidelines\n\n * DevOps \u0026 Automation: Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)\n\n * Zero Trust Architecture: Deep experience building Zero Trust networks and IAM/RBAC models\n\n * Edge \u0026 Ground Segment: Experience with edge computing nodes, field segment integration, and data center design (on prem, hybrid, multi cloud)\n\n * COTS Integration: DoD grade COTS, GFx hardened, secure boot\n\n * Agile Combat Employment (ACE): Philosophical understanding of system employment in ACE.\n\n\n\n\nEducation \u0026 Certifications (Preferred)\n\n * MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field\n\n * Certified Cloud Architect (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect \u2013 Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect)\n\n * Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent\n\n * DoD DoDI 8510.01 (Risk Management Framework) certification\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
