Staff Coordinator - 40 hour/days

Maine Veterans’ Homes is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Maine’s veterans and families. The Staffing Coordinator is a nursing team member who coordinates/schedules the nursing department staffing schedule, and works closely with the DON, ADON and Human Resources department to achieve this.

• Develops, coordinates, and maintains the monthly schedule and daily staffing sheets for the nursing department
• Receives call outs from staff and replaces as needed per facility staffing patterns
• Manages Earned Benefit Time Requests for employees as approved by the DON or ADON

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Customer service or scheduling experience preferred
• Requires proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required.
• Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
• Basic computer skills
