Responsibilities

Spearhead the evolution of key algorithms, overseeing every phase from data gathering and feature creation to model training, deployment, and ongoing evaluation.
Investigate emerging fraud trends and spearhead the creation of innovative products focused on identity verification.
Lay the groundwork for advanced models that enhance our company
Drive progress through rigorous research, iterative development, integration of fresh data sources, and creative feature crafting.
Develop robust, production-grade code that supports real-time decision-making processes for our partners.
Conduct and present comprehensive analyses to guide decisions related to data collection, product enhancement, risk management, marketing, and sales initiatives.
Collaborate with engineering, risk management, and data procurement teams to secure data access, uphold data integrity, and facilitate data utilization.

Required Skills

At least 6 years of relevant experience coupled with a relevant Ph.D., or 8 years with a relevant Master's degree.
A demonstrated history of addressing significant or high-stakes business challenges using data science and machine learning solutions.
Proficient in communicating complex findings and progress updates to executive teams and key stakeholders.
Expertise in the complete lifecycle of data science projects, including planning, defining success metrics, securing stakeholder agreement, developing and implementing solutions.
Strong practical knowledge in machine learning and statistics, capable of applying standard methodologies effectively, with bonus points for experience with state-of-the-art solutions.
A keen interest in gaining in-depth knowledge in the domain, particularly in fraud detection, with an openness to learn.
Experience in writing production-level code, including testing.
A meticulous and reliable individual capable of making impactful business decisions.
Ability to excel in a dynamic environment, tackling diverse, high-stakes, and open-ended challenges.

Compensation

$200,000 - $235,000 base salary + equity + benefits
