Job Description - Staff Development Assistant

Plaza Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Development Assistant to support our Director of Staff Development in training, onboarding, and compliance initiatives. This role is ideal for a current or former Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who has experience in education, administration, and working closely with staff to ensure excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordinating and conducting staff training, orientations, and in-services
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires, including tracking required documentation and compliance
  • Maintain accurate training records
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, and reports
  • Monitor and track certifications, licenses, and continuing education requirements
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Staff Development department
  • Communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • Present information to small and large groups in a professional and engaging manner

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience assisting with staff education or training programs
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Preferred

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • Excellent clerical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
