Job Description - Staff Engineer, Photo Track Equipment Development

Req ID:\n\nJR96823 Staff Engineer, Photo Track Equipment Development\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\nLead equipment hardware projects with suppliers to meet future process requirements and timelines Understand the root causes of excursions and implement solutions, including defect excursions, poor coating uniformity, or other track-related issues Drive track installation projects. Engage with suppliers, company\u0027s facilities team, and our engineering team to define track configurations, and manage the installation process Build new track recipes for new memory parts. Optimize recipes to meet manufacturing requirements for performance, defects, and cost Work together with teams from different departments to establish equipment specifications and design requirements for photolithography processes. Develop and maintain advanced photolithography equipment to ensure flawless process integration. Conduct equipment performance evaluations and identify areas for improvement. Install, test, and qualify new equipment to meet strict quality standards. Address and resolve equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime. Work closely with vendors to successfully implement equipment modifications and upgrades. Train and mentor junior engineers on equipment operation and maintenance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of departmental goals. Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers\u2019 technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Study equipment performance and reliability. Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Define and write preventative maintenance schedules. Work with electronics, pneumatics, photoresist dispense systems in spin coaters, Developer systems in spin units, bake ovens, chill plates, temp and humidity controllers, robots, optics, etc. Identify, diagnose, and resolve equipment related problems. Coordinate and execute process, equipment, material evaluation / optimization initiatives, and implement changes at process step. Lead equipment hardware projects with suppliers to meet future process requirements and timelines. Participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction\n\nactivities. Validate and fan out new process baseline qualified, including new process, tools, or materials for new product introduction.\n\nEmployer will accept a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Engineering or related field and 48 months of experience in the job offered or in an Engineer-related occupation.\n\nPosition requires:\n\n1\\. Photolithography Track equipment development and maintenance, including process and equipment control systems.\n\n2\\. Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving assembly process issues using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC/FDC methodologies.\n\n3\\. Interpreting schematic diagrams and troubleshoot mechanical systems on photolithography tracks.\n\n4\\. Utilizing Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) Photo Track hardware in photolithography process and equipment development.\n\n5\\. Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) track process optimization and troubleshooting, and process integration flow.\n\n6\\. EUV process control and recipe optimization, including developing and optimizing track recipes for memory products to meet performance and cost targets.\n\n7\\. Evaluating and qualifying new photo film materials for next-generation lithography processes, supporting continuous improvement and technology scaling.\n\n8\\.
