We work hands\u2011on with world\u2011class partners, solving complex problems and shaping the next generation of memory and storage solutions.\n\nAs a Staff SSD Field Application Engineer, you\u2019ll be a key technical voice supporting OEM partners and driving successful SSD design\u2011ins. You will guide customers through architecture choices, resolve critical issues, and collaborate across Micron teams to ensure our SSD solutions land flawlessly in production.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Build and execute strategic SSD engagement plans with sales and business units\n * Meet regularly with Tier 1 OEM customers to identify new opportunities and support ongoing programs\n * Lead SSD issue resolution by coordinating with cross\u2011functional teams and delivering clear updates to customers\n * Provide architecture guidance, product recommendations, technical training, and validation support\n * Manage lab activities tied to design\u2011in, schematic reviews, validation, and system\u2011level testing\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering\n * 5 years experience in HDD/SSD applications, system validation, product design, solutions architecture, or related areas\n * Experience with datacenter/compute architecture, system design, test, and troubleshooting\n * Hands\u2011on integration experience with storage interfaces (SATA, NVMe, CXL), tools (FIO, IOMETER), and operating systems (Linux, KVM, ESXi)\n * Strong customer engagement, problem\u2011solving, and communication skills\n * Ability to travel up to 25%\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Exposure to DRAM, CXL, HBM, or other memory technologies\n * Master\u2019s degree in electrical engineering or related field\n * Demonstrated technical innovation and deep troubleshooting capability\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nField Applications Eng 4 (Inc Elig) - Field Applications Eng 5 (Inc Elig)\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
