We’re looking for a Staff Full Stack Engineer to take a leading role in developing a new major business opportunity at Cloudinary.
This is a senior position with end-to-end responsibility: from architecture and design through full development lifecycle.
You’ll work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders, while also integrating your work into Cloudinary’s core systems.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of frontend excellence and backend depth, and who is motivated by building impactful products that users love.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the technology for a new product from the ground up.
- Own the entire development cycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Build complex, high-impact frontend applications supported by strong backend components.
- Collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and business teams to define and deliver features.
- Ensure integrations align with Cloudinary’s existing core systems and infrastructure.
- Bring a product mindset: focus on user needs, interaction design, and usability when making technical decisions.
- Act as a role model in adopting new tools, including AI-driven development practices.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in full stack development.
- Proven track record of building non-trivial, production-ready end to end web applications
- Solid knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frameworks like React or similar, and backend frameworks such as Node.js, Go, or equivalent).
- Awareness of cloud environments (AWS preferred) — deep expertise not required.
- Proven record of technically leading a few engineers from idea to a working and lasting engineering solution
- Comfortable working across multiple interfaces: development, design, product, and business.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive approach to navigating constraints and tradeoffs.
- Open to adopting AI tools and workflows to accelerate development.
- Product mindset: care about user experience and usability as much as technical excellence.
