Our primary mission is to innovate and develop groundbreaking solutions that improve the performance and reliability of non-volatile memory products.\n\nPosition overview: \nAs a Staff Layout Designer, you will develop and prepare multi-dimensional layouts. You will provide detailed drawings of semiconductor devices from schematics and related geometry provided by design engineers, verify data integrity, and take the lead in major block developments. You\u2019ll be expected to communicate effectively with other functional groups across global sites, e.g., TD, design, verification, and CAD. We\u2019re seeking a self-starter who can learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing priorities.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Organize and prioritize logistics and resource allocations to meet scheduled deadlines and proactively develop methodologies for issue resolution\n * Contribute to group management and technical innovation\n * Assign resources, schedule tasks, provide direction, and deliver quality-controlled results\n * Contribute to projects in a globally distributed design/layout environment\n * Effectively mentoring junior team members\n\n\n * Contribute to the improvement of layout efficiency through the development of automation and new methodologies; Lead, plan, and deliver major blocks and product revisions.\n\n\n\nMinimum qualifications:\n\n * BS or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 10 years of direct experience in semiconductor layout development\n * Deep working knowledge of EDA tools (i.e., Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys, Calibre)\n * Demonstrate a strong ability to debug problems through root-cause analysis, find effective and efficient solutions, and collaborate with the engineering staff\n * Skilled in developing and applying custom layout, floor\u2011planning, signal planning, and power\u2011planning methodologies\n * Strong verbal and written communication skills\n * In-depth understanding of design rules and delivering quality layouts\n * Strong physical verification analysis and debugging skills\n\n\n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n * 15+ years of direct experience in semiconductor layout design\n * Project leadership in quality optimization, die size shrinkage\n * IC layout design experience with NAND, DRAM, and/or SRAM\n * Programming skills and AI experience relevant to layout workflow\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nLayout/Mask Designer E4\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
