Req ID:\n\nJR93217 Staff Mixed Signal Design Engineer , HBM\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\n# Responsibilities\n\n * Define micro\u2011architecture for base\u2011die digital subsystems, including high\u2011bandwidth memory (HBM) channel support logic, initialization and boot sequencing, training orchestration, configuration and control registers (CSR), telemetry, performance counters, and reliability features such as error logging and recovery sequencing.\n * Translate system requirements into timing, power, and area budgets with physical layer (PHY) and system architects, and maintain interface specifications for bus protocols, clock\u2011domain crossing (CDC) strategy, and reset strategy.\n * Implement synthesizable register\u2011transfer level (RTL) designs in SystemVerilog and integrate multi\u2011channel logic, including interrupts, events, register maps, scan hooks, and design\u2011for\u2011test (DFT) interfaces.\n * Ensure stable reset and power\u2011up behavior, support corner\u2011case handling, and maintain clear engineering change order (ECO) pathways.\n * Collaborate with design verification (DV) teams to create verification plans, achieve coverage goals, complete CDC and reset\u2011domain crossing (RDC) checks, and debug RTL, testbench, and gate\u2011level issues.\n * Provide guidance on timing constraints for clocks, exceptions, and path intent, and refine micro\u2011architecture to address timing\u2011critical paths.\n * Partner with DFT and test teams to integrate scan, memory built\u2011in self\u2011test (MBIST), logic built\u2011in self\u2011test (LBIST), boundary access, and debug instrumentation.\n * Support post\u2011silicon validation by supplying debug hooks, correlating issues to RTL or architecture, and enabling efficient issue resolution.\n\n\n\n# Minimum Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree or Master\u2019s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.\n * Typically 10+ years in digital design or system\u2011on\u2011chip (SoC) integration with ownership of complex logic through tape\u2011out.\n * Expertise in SystemVerilog RTL design, integration, and debug; clock and reset architecture; CDC and RDC methodologies; and low\u2011power design concepts such as clock gating and power\u2011state management.\n * Knowledge of design\u2011for\u2011debug and design\u2011for\u2011test fundamentals and experience coordinating multi\u2011functional technical efforts.\n\n\n\n# Preferred Qualifications\n\n * Experience supporting post\u2011silicon validation through debug correlation and structured issue resolution.\n * Background integrating scan, MBIST, LBIST, and related DFT or debug features.\n * Experience developing verification plans and partnering with DV teams to reach coverage goals.\n * Ability to refine micro\u2011architecture to improve timing and provide mentorship on constraints.\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nSemiconductor Design Engineer 4\n\nRelocation Level: TBD\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
