Description

 Heartview Foundation is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team. This role is essential in providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders across residential, outpatient, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position, Monday through Friday, with on-call and weekend coverage as needed. Shifts typically fall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and monitor for patient side effects and reactions
  • Create, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team
  • Conduct and document urine, drug, and alcohol screenings
  • Complete thorough nursing assessments and maintain accurate electronic health records
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with outside providers
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations for medication management and patient information
  • Provide on-call and weekend nursing coverage as assigned

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school or collegiate program.
  • Current, unencumbered LPN or RN license in the State of North Dakota.
  • At least one year of nursing experience (preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of substance use disorders and medication-assisted treatment.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting.
  • Effective therapeutic communication skills with patients and families.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records documentation.
  • Ability to educate and train staff and patients on relevant health topics
