Staff Nurse/R.N Outpatient Surgery - 'PRN'

                                                              Opportunity is for "PRN-As Needed" Day shift

1. Assesses each patient’s biophysical, psychosocial and discharge planning based on age and development status.
2. Utilizes the caring behaviors of empathy, active listening and cultural sensitivity and supports patient dignity.
3. Develops and prioritizes an outcome directed plan of care to assigned patients and changes as necessary.
4. Performs clinical and technical aspects of care in accordance with established policies.
5. Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing interventions.
6.  Modified the plan of care focusing on age and development status and patient outcomes.
7. Reviews the plan of care and consults with the physician and other health care providers.
8. Documents care per documentation standards.
9. Provides patient/family education.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• EMR/EPIC experience preferred 
• RN with current Illinois License. 
• ACLS per unit specific hospital requirements.
• PALS per unit specific hospital requirements.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
