Staff Pharmacist Full time

• Pharmacy Hours M-F 8:00pm - 6:00pm
• No Week-ends

Responsibilities:

• Serves as a role model in the practice of pharmaceutical care for staff.
• Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians’ work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges and inspections.
• Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of drugs designated as hazardous waste
• Accurately dispenses medications by packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals
• Provide patients with pertinent drug information
• Supervise and maintain records of all medications
• Act as a liaison between the store and healthcare professionals, patients and law enforcement
• Adheres to all Board of Pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications:

• Active state RPH license
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
• Must be in good standing with Board of Pharmacy
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening
• Proficient in all aspects of pharmacy law, policies, and procedures
• Effective communication skills and strong sense of teamwork
• Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations surrounding pharmacy including facility inspection and licensing processes
• Community/retail experience is preferred
• Experience with process improvement
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
