Staff Project Engineer

job summary:
Join our team at a top EPC firm as a Staff Project Engineer in Akron, OH! We seek candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in T&D space, design work in substation, civil structural site grading, and transmission line. This role involves big-picture project assembly, data analysis, and both team and individual work. A 4-year engineering degree is required. Excel proficiency, including Power Query, is essential.

responsibilities:
Coordinate daily with planning portfolio engineers, client management, and sponsors to develop long-range integrated portfolio plans.

Attend budget planning meetings and ensure the incorporation of the long-range plan into project budgets.

Review engineering estimates, project change requests, and ensure alignment with the long-term portfolio.

Assist in the development of the client's 10-year plan and compile rate filings for PJM.

Create analyses and reports to track, coordinate, and execute projects, ensuring no conflicts and project constructability.

Work with multiple client stakeholders to determine the feasibility, budget, and need for transmission projects.

Interface with the client's accounting group to establish financial setups for projects.

Informally mentor and train the client's portfolio engineers on T&D design and project management.
