DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for the care and treatment of mentally ill patients. The care you provide will include examining, diagnosing, and creating a course of treatment for the patients. You will collaborate with and direct other staff members to carry out the treatment plans. The psychiatrist will also prepare and review evaluations and reports for the patients. An additional duty is participating in staff conferences for the discussion of the patient care to ensure its consistency.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
You may have to work overtime as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Special Requirements:
You must possess a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
Other Requirements:
PA residency requirement

is currently waived for this title.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
