Staff Registered Nurse First Assistance

Summary:

Join our client operating room team as a Staff RNFA, where you'll collaborate with surgeons to deliver exceptional patient care during surgical procedures. Your perioperative expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care in the perioperative setting.
• Serve as a first assistant to the surgeon.
• Apply surgical aseptic techniques and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Lead patient-centered care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Guide ancillary personnel, ensuring adherence to nursing standards.
• Participate in call rotation and occasional weekend/evening shifts.

Qualifications:

• Education: BSN required.
• Experience:
  • 2+ years of perioperative nursing experience.
  • 1+ year of med/surg nursing experience (preferred).

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active RN license in Massachusetts.
• CNOR certification
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
• RNFA certification (within 2 years of hire).

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of surgical aseptic technique
• Ability to perform effectively in high-stress and emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Current liability insurance.
