Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nThe Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Staff RF/Microwave Design Engineer to join our growing team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.\n\nYou will become part of Northrop Grumman\u2019s Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS). IMS provides sustainment support for the US Air Force B-1, KC-135, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members complete engineering, reverse engineering, and logistics solution efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure warfighter supportability.\n\nPrimary responsibilities of this RF Design Engineer will be to support large projects within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) during execution of various program activities, including Test system design and evaluation, design and development of communication, flight controls, navigation, radar, avionics, technical planning, requirements development and tracking, system integration and verification and validation.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Support the development of RF system architectures including block diagrams of hardware design concepts from system requirements, industry standards, and requirements flowed down by systems engineers.\n\n * Simulate RF systems, subsystems, and circuits using industry standard simulation tools including Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS) and Cadence Microwave Office (MWO).\n\n * Modeling of system level functions using Matlab or other modeling tools for analysis prior to hardware implementation.\n\n * Test and troubleshoot prototype and production hardware in the lab using RF, analog, and digital test equipment.\n\n * Work closely with software and hardware team in developing and testing control software for RF circuits and subsystems.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Must have one of the following:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 12 years of relevant RF/microwave engineering experience; Master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering experience; A PhD degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience\n\n * Candidate must have experience testing antennas and/or antenna arrays\n\n * Candidate must have experience with testing and evaluating antenna parameters and patterns\n\n * Proven knowledge of electrical engineering design software and equipment\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance \n \n\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g. aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)\n\n * Experienced with the design, analysis and architecture of Passive Antenna Array systems\n\n * Experience with the use of RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and waveform generators\n\n * Experience with cable management and cable assembly requirements for RF and fiber optic applications\n\n * Experienced developing technical data packages and documentation supporting HW baselines via engineering drawings\n\n * Familiarity with RF and mixed signal printed circuit board and circuit card assembly level design\n\n * Familiarity with RF budgeting, frequency planning, RF chain analysis and modeling, schematic capture, electromagnetic simulation, signal integrity analysis\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $144,900.00 - $217,300.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
