Come be a part of our mission!\n\nWhat You\u2019ll Get to Do:\n\nPerform linear and non-linear structural analyses of individual components and complex underwater assemblies using a combination of hand-calculations, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and bolted joint calculations. Ability to lead a small team of structural analysts to support program\u2019s analysis needs. Ensure that designs meet program requirements and are consistent with program schedule and budget objectives. Will be responsible for mentoring junior and senior engineers via formal and informal knowledge transfers\n\nThe candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * BS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or equivalent STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of experience in structural analysis or MS degree with 10 years of experience or PhD with 8 years of experience \n\n * Proficiency in FEMAP/Nastran and/or ANSYS FEA tools for performing linear and non-linear analyses\n\n * Experience with bolted joint analysis and structural hand calculations\n\n * Proficiency in using common engineering design, production, analysis, and office tools\n\n * Experience in leading a team of junior and senior engineers via formal and informal knowledge transfers\n\n * U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI and pass a polygraph\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Able to work in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously\n\n * Demonstrated skills/experience in the following multi-disciplined areas: shock, vibration, and fracture analysis\n\n * Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph\n\n * Experience with design, analysis, integration and test of underwater/naval systems listed above\n\n * Experience with Navy operations for similar maritime domain and technologies\n\n\n\n\nNGFeaturedJobs\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
