Road to Wisdom, LLC (RTW) is a General Residential Operation licensed by the Texas Health and Human Services Residential Child Care Regulation Division. We are 24 hour a day, 7 day a week operation and work with youth in the care of Children's Protective Services ranging from 9 to 18 years old. At this time we are providing services to female youth (residents) and our maximum capacity is 13. All of our residents have experienced some form of abuse and/or neglect and many demonstrate disruptive behaviors and emotional dysregulation. Our residents attend public school and activities in the community. They are working towards improving their behavior, emotional stability, and meeting their treatment goals so that they may successfully complete our program and transition to a less restrictive placement (i.e., foster home, kinship placement, transitional living, family reunification, etc.).
Our Staff Supervisor will be expected to manage all aspects of our program that directly maintaining the safety and supervision of our residents, as well as other related duties. As a part of the Leadership Team, our Staff Supervisor will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Our program is heavily regulated by the State of Texas and private entities which make frequent unannounced visits to the our program for investigation and/or inspection. Our Staff Supervisor must willing to be held accountable for themselves and the team they lead.
Requirements
1. Must be 21 years or older
2. Must pass a criminal background check by the Department of Family and Protective Services (which may include fingerprinting)
3. Provide recent TB test results
4. Have at least a High School Diploma
5. Have at least 2 years of Management Experience
6. Have a valid driver's license and willing to transport residents
7. Willing to be on call during evenings and weekends
8. Pass urine drug screen
Primary Duties Include (there are additional related duties):
1. Ensure RTW policies, minimum standards, and contract requirements are consistently followed
2. Create and manage direct care staff work schedule to ensure complete shift coverage
3. Ensure that proper resident safety and supervision occurs at all time
4. Hire, train, discipline, acknowledge, and terminate direct care staff
5. Complete monthly recreation calendar and weekend activity schedule
6. Ensure residents needs are met
7. Administer psychotropic medication
8. Transport youth to appointments and activities ( Must have a valid driver's license)
9. Crisis response
10. Ensure that staff documentation is correct, complete, and submitted timely
