Qualcomm\u0027s XR Labs team is seeking a skilled C++ Computer Vision engineer to evaluate, prototype, and optimize advanced algorithms for XR use cases. An ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, evaluating and porting the select algorithms to a highly optimized C++ implementation and deploying them on our chipsets. The job will involve interfacing with HW, FW, and SW engineers as power-efficient implementation is being further optimized and integrated into our XR framework.\n\nThe responsibilities will include:\n\n * Evaluate published algorithms related to XR use cases, with an intimate understanding of performance/ requirements tradeoffs.\n\n\n\n\n * Port candidate pipelines to an optimized C++ implementation.\n\n\n\n\n * Help integrate implementation into an existing XR framework, benchmarking the resulting performance on target SoCs.\n\n\n\n\n * Contribute to the development of tools and workflows for efficient integration and testing\n\n\n\n\n * Document optimized design and the fit in the E2E system.\n\n\n\n\nJob requirements:\n\n * Strong performance in modern C++ programming with a focus on performance (5+ years of experience)\n\n\n\n\n * Extensive expertise in machine learning with focus on Computer Vision; knowledge of and hands-on experience with relevant Python packages (5+ years)\n\n\n\n\n * Experience developing embedded systems software and solutions (1+ years)\n\n\n\n\n * Preferrable additional skills: a) experience with embedded audio processing and workloads; b) experience developing distributed compute software and solutions; c) experience developing on Android\n\n\n\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
