Job Scope:
Ensures community is adequately staffed in order to meet residents' care and service needs and in
accordance with the community standards and federal and state guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Oversees staffing to ensure appropriate resident care and ensure the applicable state
licensure and certification standards are met.
• Coordinates teammate schedules. Responsible for filling all open shifts by contacting back up
teammates according to established protocol.
• Maintains all schedules electronically in community designated scheduling software.
• Ensures adequate staffing coverage for the daily provision of services.
• Ensures that community policies are disseminated and followed by all teammates.
• Completes daily reconciliation of teammate timecards and agency staff timecards, if applicable.
• Completes data entry and administrative reporting, as necessary.
• Assists the Director of Nursing or designee in the recruiting, hiring, orientation and training of
new teammates.
• Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions that
assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents,
and visitors.
• Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications:
• Compassion for and desire to work with seniors!
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Prefer one year experience as a scheduler or staffing coordinator.
• Excellent communication skills and knowledge of various computer programs, including
Microsoft Office and web-based software systems.
