Staging Floor Scale Operator - 2nd Shift - Waverly, NE

Job Details:

Hours: 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm – 12:00 midnight or upon completion of assigned work

Pay: 17.60 + $2.50 attendance bonus. 2nd shift receives a $2/hr shift differential

SUMMARY: Responsible for using a pallet jack to move combos in and out of production as needed and communicate with control room on movements of product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Inspect pallet jack and check out/in daily
• Use pallet jack to move combos into production
• Communicate with control room on combos brought in production
• Cover full combos
• Move empty combos
• Keep the area clean
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to obtain the pallet jacket & forklift certificate
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to wear, use and maintain personal protective equipment
• Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures

           Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 6 months of production experience preferred

Communication Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read the labels with product name and number

Physical Requirements / Environment:

• Stand/Walk: Continuously
• Grasp: Frequently
• Lift/Carry:  Frequently (up to 20lbs.)
• Push/Pull: Frequently (5 to 25 lbs.)
• Physical Environment: Continuously: Working around moving machinery, working in a damp, slippery and cold environment (Below 35° F)
• Other Physical Requirements:
  • Bend/Stoop: Occasionally

External Requirements: Must have 6 months of operator experience documented in the application.

Rehire Waiting Period: 90 days

Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
