The Stamping Press Service Specialist will apply knowledge and expertise in the performance of scheduled and unscheduled machine setup, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and commissioning. The Stamping Press Service Specialist will participate with advanced troubleshooting activities and continuous improvement initiatives by providing appropriate technical knowledge to recommend and implement improvements and corrective actions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Utilize advanced technical skills to repairing, installing and commissioning the clients stamping presses, which may include (but are not limited to) mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
2. Cooperate with head of customer service division at HQ to provide/support field service activities in the US and Canada.
3. Respond to work orders and assure timely resolution of requests.
4. Monitor inventory of items required to perform duties and submit procurement requests as required.
5. Lead local rigging and service companies to coordinate rigging and installation.
6. Liaison with customers during installation and repair of equipment. Provide guidance on best practices for maintenance and repairs.
7. Perform inspections and prepare documentation following clients standardized work instructions, suggest improvements as appropriate.
8. Perform emergency correspondence with customers when needed.
9. Assure all safety devices are properly in place and utilized, Lockout/Tagout procedures are adhered to, PPE is worn correctly at all times, and reporting of any near misses, injuries, or accidents immediately.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of five (5) years documented related experience
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLCs
4. Ability and willingness to travel outside United States when required
5. Physical ability to perform all required tasks
6. Preferred qualifications include (8) years of experience and/or completion of apprenticeship program. Department of Labor (DOL) issued Journeyman’s card (Industrial Maintenance Technician or Machine Repair classifications) strongly preferred, Korean language a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Ability to read and interpret prints
2. Ability to obtain Hilo and crane certifications
3. Ability to work at heights using manlifts and ladders, as well as performance of roof work
4. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
5. Willingness to travel for work and training as business needs dictate
6. Ability to work until the job is completed correctly
