About the Role:

We are currently seeking a State Inspector to join our team at Sawyer Automotive in Suffolk, VA. As a State Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all vehicles meet state safety and emissions standards, and contribute to the overall success of our service department.

Responsibilities:

Perform safety and emissions inspections on customer vehicles

Document and report any necessary repairs or maintenance needed to bring vehicles into compliance

Communicate inspection results and recommended services to customers

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Keep up to date with state inspection regulations and requirements

Requirements:

Valid state inspector license

Experience in automotive service or repair

Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
